estudio 1999 creates garments that, over time, become part of one’s personal memory.

We believe that clothing can be a part of a person's life. It's not just about dressing for a moment—it's about being a part of it.

From our workshop in Mexico City, we work with existing garments and carefully selected textiles to create new silhouettes. Some pieces are reconstructed one by one through upcycling; others are created in small batches using deadstock fabrics or knitted fabrics.

Each collection begins with an observation—a memory, a sensation, an image, or a way of experiencing the body. We are interested in designing garments that feel familiar and can be cherished for a long time.

Rather than following trends, we aim to build a collection of timeless pieces.
