This drop continues the exploration of upcycled outerwear at Studio 1999.
Starting with pre-existing coats, jackets and vests, the pieces are transformed from a softer sensibility: light gestures, contained movement, an intuition that permeates the forms.
Lace, ruching, and ribbons appear in contrast with technical materials, quilting, and more playful silhouettes. Functionality meets delicacy. Structure is allowed to give way.
Each garment retains its origin, but changes the way it inhabits the body. Unique and unrepeatable pieces.
